In Trinidad the sky and the sea could pass for twins. Beauty.

Posted on FB via a co-worker. He saw it on a t-shirt at a…wait for it…wait for it… Engineers’ Conference.
Love it…and totally get it. What can I say, I am an Engineer.
This weekend, I’ve seen places within Italy and Switzerland that I may have been a little timid in visiting before ….alone. That is where my friends come into play. They were here this weekend, and we trekked to the top of the Duomo, walked around Lake Lugano, toured a castle in Bellinzano, walked around Milan from Monte Napoleone to Moscova to Cairolli and back. I had the menu of the day at RossoPomodoro and Frutti di Bosco/Limone gelato from Icebound. I walked along via Dante and through the Galleria Vittoria Emanuelle II. I went into the flagship Prada store, and into D Magazine. I visited the little caffe on the corner, and just really enjoyed my Milan.
I’ve lived in Milan for 7 months now, and this weekend was the first time I really explored and experienced some of what it has to offer. I’ve been too caught up in my fear of exploring the town, this country, this continent alone that I’ve missed out on some great adventures. My goal is to visit at least one new place each weekend. It can be a restaurant, an area, a store, a country, whatever. I just want to get the most out of my stay here, and currently I’m not doing that. I believe I can enjoy my life here much more and can gain new friends by letting loose just a little.
So cheers to the freaking weekend…and to taking life by the balls and just having fun.
I’ll drink to that. Toodles.
Yep, that’s a castle in the background, plus another one up on the hill…and yep I’m standing in yet a 3rd castle ;0)
